About The Position

This role involves applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for target applications. The Associate will work closely with cross-functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system. The position supports and participates in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. Responsibilities include developing software test procedures, software programs, and related documentation, as well as utilizing modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. The role also involves participating in peer reviews, identifying, tracking, and repairing defects. Additionally, the position requires utilizing a variety of software languages on various platforms and operating systems. A significant part of the role also focuses on Digital Signal Processing (DSP), applying DSP, communication systems, and software engineering concepts in software development, understanding time domain versus frequency domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation/coding algorithms. The role operates in an agile environment and may involve firmware development.
