About The Position

Under the direction of the Supervisor or designated person, performs high-skill manual operations, operates automated and/or manual machines whose processes manufacture and/or assemble plastic and/or metal parts or components. Performs operations where one or all of the following activities are required: watching, positioning, assembling, cleaning, counting, and/or packing parts and/or components generated by the machines and/or process under their responsibility.

Requirements

• Fourth year of High School.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in both languages (English/Spanish).
• Experience in the use of measurement instruments, such as: calipers, pin gages, etc.
• Experience and knowledge in understanding blueprints.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and knowledge in the application of statistical techniques for process control (SPC), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for correctly completing and recording information on attendance, daily production, material, parts, scrap, statistical data for control charts, hourly boards, SQDC boards, as applicable, and others as required.
• Ensures compliance with and execution of Policies, Procedures, Manuals, and Rules for Occupational Safety, Quality, Environmental, Physical Plant Security, Finance, and others.
• Performs other related tasks within the work area, as instructed by the Supervisor or designated person.
• Operates a variety of automatic machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Performs inspections of molded plastic parts according to procedures.
• Inspects, counts or weighs, identifies, and reports all production generated by assigned machines.
