About The Position

Join the Indiana University Foundation’s mission-driven HR team as an Associate Human Resources Business Partner based in our Indianapolis office, where you will help support and empower the people who advance Indiana University’s life-changing impact through education, research, and philanthropy. Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, this newly created role is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who is eager to expand their experience across multiple HR disciplines while serving as a resource for our Indianapolis team members. In this role, you will support a wide range of HR initiatives including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, talent processes, engagement initiatives, HR operations, and project coordination. You will partner with leaders and employees to provide responsive, high-touch HR support while also contributing to broader HR programs and strategic initiatives across the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants hands-on exposure to the work of an HR Business Partner while learning additional areas of Human Resources such as talent acquisition, total rewards, and HR analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Management, or a related field is required.
  • 2 years of experience in human resources or a fast-paced professional office environment providing support to employees.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to "manage up" to executive stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with data, reports, and HRIS systems to find the "story" behind the numbers, with the goal of providing proactive insights for managers.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint); interest in using AI tools to optimize administrative workflows.
  • The ability to pivot between administrative precision and high-energy candidate hosting.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive, confidential employee information with total integrity.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
