About The Position

The Associate Global Sourcing Manager will interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts, with emphasis on company interests. This role requires the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Travel is expected to work with vendors, manufacturers, and to attend appropriate industry trade shows. The position involves effectively analyzing data to determine the appropriate course of action and participating in the development/refinement, implementation, and management of the global sourcing strategy for assigned categories. The Associate Global Sourcing Manager will assume the role of project manager for new product development within assigned categories, continually identify, assess, and recommend new suppliers, and analyze bids and other data to propose actionable recommendations. This role also includes conducting or participating in negotiations with suppliers and collaborating with the Private Brand cross-functional team to optimize sourcing effectiveness. Additionally, the Associate Global Sourcing Manager will research and analyze the cost, capacity, and delivery history of manufacturers, ensuring they can deliver product that meets specifications and quality standards. A key responsibility is to continually search for and identify opportunities for cost optimization and margin enhancement throughout the supply chain, identify and communicate issues to appropriate parties for resolution, and manage ongoing vendor performance, including Service, Quality, and Cost. The role also involves monitoring cost and availability trends of key cost factors and recommending courses of action. Other related tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed will also be performed.

Requirements

Strong communication skills
2-3 years of experience in sourcing
At least merchandise experience

Responsibilities

Identify and communicate issues to appropriate parties and bring them to resolution
Manage the ongoing vendors' performance, including Service, Quality & Cost
Monitor the cost & availability trends of key cost factors and recommend course of action (raw & packaging materials, labor, crude oil, etc.)
Perform other related tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed
