About The Position

As an Associate in the Investment Banking US M&A team, you will work closely with the M&A Team and Industry Banking Teams to support M&A deal execution and other business opportunities. Build financial models, perform valuation analysis, and prepare supporting quantitative deal materials. Create pitch books and presentations materials for client meetings. Collaborate closely with Analysts and senior deal team members throughout the transaction execution process. Work with Industry specialists to identify and evaluate new M&A opportunities. Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business. Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities. Escalate risk events, control deficiencies, and compliance concerns to your manager and relevant risk/control functions on a timely basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and MBA, MA or MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance/accounting
  • Minimum of one year of Investment Banking experience
  • Previous experience in the M&A space is highly desired
  • Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling
  • Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of finance and accounting
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
  • Ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong teaming skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels of organization
  • Must maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct
  • Series 79 & 63 licensed
