About The Position

We are looking for an Associate Attorney who is ready to jump into front line litigation. We offer the opportunity to be involved in every step of the litigation process and are looking for someone who does not shy away from responsibility. A team player with an enthusiastic personality is essential. This Associate General Counsel position will work with our in-house legal team on legal matters for the Company. This position will primarily handle all landlord – tenant issues and work with our operations team to ensure legal compliance by the Company. This position will also assist in all litigation involving the Company, including tort, contract, and general commercial litigation. This is an outstanding opportunity for an aggressive, proactive, hard-working, organized, detail-oriented, and motivated professional.

Requirements

  • Nevada Bar membership required.
  • 2-4 years of firm litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and prioritize workload.
  • Proven record of aggressive goal setting, converting plans into action and performance measurement.
  • Exceptional people & interpersonal skills.
  • Must have proven communication skills, specifically with written reports and updates.
  • Must be able to communicate timely via email.
  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently.

Nice To Haves

  • California bar is a plus.
  • Commercial real estate experience preferred.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of legal matters.
  • Spanish language skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on state-specific laws, regulations, and employment practices to support law cases and provide guidance.
  • Assist drafting legal documents, including complaints, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence related to a variety of matters.
  • Support senior attorneys in preparing for negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
  • Gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses, and assist the discovery process for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and outside counsel to develop case strategies and build strong arguments on assigned projects.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Attend meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required, providing support and contributing to the overall legal strategy.
  • Monitor important deadlines and maintain a case calendar.
  • Work on special projects as needed.
  • Relevant work-related tasks as assigned.
