ACNB Bank is looking for a key legal leader who will shape the future of our organization while protecting our strong foundation. This role is ideal for attorneys already rooted in South Central Pennsylvania or Northern Maryland who are banking or financial services attorneys that enjoy rolling up their sleeves, partnering closely with bank leaders and managers, and making an immediate impact. The Associate General Counsel will become a trusted advisor across the Bank by providing timely, practical, and solutions-focused legal counsel to business leaders. This role will support critical workstreams such as commercial lending deals, vendor agreements, branch and deposit operations, and regulatory compliance matters. The Associate General Counsel will help anticipate and mitigate risks while supporting key strategic initiatives — from technology partnerships to product innovations. They will also manage and resolve day-to-day operational legal matters including subpoenas, garnishments, bank forms and agreements, and contract and lease management. The role involves representing the Bank with professionalism and confidence in real estate transactions, commercial loan documentation, regulatory interactions, litigation matters, and contractual negotiations. The Associate General Counsel will keep internal stakeholders informed and aligned so risks are understood, decisions are documented, and legal matters are resolved efficiently. Additionally, they will strengthen the Bank's ability to grow responsibly by staying informed on evolving regulations or laws that affect the Bank’s operations. This is a highly visible role that strengthens and protects a growing community bank, offering leadership opportunities and potential to become involved in corporate governance or M&A as the organization continues to expand.
