Associate General Counsel
About The Position
Envision Radiology, a 100% ESOP-owned company, seeks an Associate General Counsel to join the team! Monday - Friday | Position Pay Range: $178,280 - $222,850 Opportunity for an additional, discretionary bonus available The ideal candidate is located in or open to relocating to Colorado Springs, CO Summary/Objective: The Associate General Counsel will provide expert legal advice to and guide the organization’s business units and senior management on a broad range of matters, including General Business Matters, Healthcare Regulatory, Contracts, Litigation, Employment/Labor, Transactions, and other areas as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7-10 years of legal practice with a law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on business law or healthcare law
- Good sense of judgment on practical risk vs. technical risk
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to operate autonomously, as appropriate, and desire to take initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills to fit in amongst collegial colleagues
- Juris doctorate degree required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Current state license to practice law required
Nice To Haves
- Preference for willingness to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO (relocation expenses would be reimbursed). A remote position from elsewhere in the country is a possibility for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Advises internal stakeholders on a wide range of general business matters, including corporate matters, joint ventures, human resources issues, transactions, contracts and patient incidents
- Analyzes and researches specific healthcare regulatory topics, in conjunction with General Counsel and internal Compliance Officer
- Prepares and negotiates contracts, in conjunction with General Counsel and internal Contracts Manager
- Leads initiatives on corporate structuring and corporate/contract management
- Liaises with outside counsel on specialized research topics (e.g., real estate, ERISA, healthcare regulatory)
- Deputizes for General Counsel on legal matters
- Oversees outside counsel on litigation, in conjunction with internal Director of Legal Operations
- Other duties as assigned.
