Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing (or regional equivalent).
• 7+ years of experience in an in-house law department.
• At least 5 years of experience focused on privacy law.
• Management experience.
• Authorization to work in the applicable jurisdiction.

Nice To Haves

• CIPP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to advisor for business partners on global, state, and federal privacy and cybersecurity laws.
• Elevate and evolve established privacy programs to support enterprise-wide compliance strategies.
• Lead privacy and data security due diligence efforts.
• Shape technology product development and commercial operations, including commercial contracting.
• Handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
• Take on new challenges as they arise.
