About The Position

Assists Fixed Income Portfolio Management Team in the management of fixed income assets through proactive partnership and skilled investment support. Handles investment management, client service, and reporting requirements in support of the fixed income strategies across Wealth and Asset Management. Acts within established investment policy guidelines. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.
  • Good written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Effective qualitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior investment experience strongly preferred
  • Zero to two years’ investment experiences with MBA or CFA desired
  • One to four years’ investment experience with bachelor’s degree desired.

Responsibilities

  • With supervision, assists Fixed Income Portfolio Managers in handling investment activities for the fixed income strategies of institutional and Trust Department clients.
  • Aids in the execution of fixed income strategies according to the applicable investment policy statement, operating within established investment policy guidelines.
  • Assists Fixed Income Portfolio Managers with marketing and relationship management activities.
  • Develops a working rhythm with Fixed Income Portfolio Managers to prudently handle projects, tasks, and client requirements.
  • Assists in the implementation of investment policies and programs.
  • Builds foundation of investment strategies, techniques, and products through contact with other industry professionals, and through internal and external research.
  • Conducts sector and security research analysis.
  • Supports internal and external communication activities.
  • Supports the Trust Department trading and research functions as necessary.
