About The Position

The Associate Financial Advisor is responsible for identifying client financial needs, understanding investment objectives, and implementing appropriate investment and insurance solutions in compliance with regulations. They focus on developing and deepening client relationships, delivering an exceptional client experience, and achieving investment sales and revenue objectives, working in partnership with branch leadership and senior investment professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics or equivalent field.
  • 5+ Years of demonstrated superior sales achievement with high ethical standards.
  • 1+ Years of experience providing investment guidance and advice to clients.
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and risk evaluation.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.
  • Strong social orientation, preferring to work with others.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • NASD licenses: FINRA Series 7, Series 66 (or 63 & 65).
  • Appropriate state insurance licenses.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics or equivalent field.
  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Attain and exceed investment sales, revenue, and client engagement goals.
  • Conduct client appointments (in-person, virtual, telephone) to identify financial needs and recommend solutions.
  • Manage and grow an assigned client portfolio by strengthening relationships, uncovering opportunities, and providing financial guidance.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable bank, broker/dealer, FINRA, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers, Field Advisors, and Licensed Bank Employees (LBEs) to identify opportunities, generate referrals, and support branch investment growth.
  • Provide coaching, education, and product awareness support to LBEs and branch partners.
  • Participate actively in sales meetings, training programs, coaching sessions, and development initiatives.
  • Develop and execute business development activities aligned with management objectives and client acquisition strategies.
  • Build strong internal relationships and referral partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate client records, complete operational and administrative requirements, and provide activity and sales reporting.
  • Maintain all required professional licenses, registrations, continuing education requirements, and regulatory training.
