About The Position

Raymond James Independent Financial Services is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to join our Perth office. Requirements

  • Registered Representative licensing with CIRO.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience providing financial advice to clients and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations.
  • Client-centred approach with a commitment to placing clients’ interests first.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong business development orientation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Energetic, ambitious, and outgoing professional style.
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with high-net-worth clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support clients and business requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • CIM or CFA designation, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience managing globally diversified portfolios using ETFs, F-Class mutual funds, and individual securities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and develop new client relationships.
  • Familiarity with Dataphile, FactSet, Morningstar, and Microsoft Office.
  • An existing book of clients; transition assistance may be available.
  • Financial planning orientation; financial planning certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the lead advisor to support the management of client investment portfolios.
  • Engage directly with clients, participate in client meetings, present investment ideas, and encourage disciplined investment behaviour.
  • Build, monitor, and rebalance customized investment portfolios in accordance with client profiles and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with research, analysis, asset mix decisions, and investment product selection.
  • Execute trades as required.
  • Prepare investment policy statements, investment proposals, and client review presentations.
  • Deliver high-quality client service through phone, email, written, and in-person communication.
  • Liaise with the support team to help ensure client portfolios remain aligned with clients’ financial plans.
  • Maintain high standards of integrity, objectivity, and professional expertise.
  • Contribute to building a profitable business and attracting new clients in partnership with the lead advisor.
