This is a Full-Time Associate Financial Advisor position at our Rexburg, Idaho Administration Building, working 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. The minimum starting pay is $60,382.33 per year, DOE. The role is responsible for providing investment services, and counseling clients and prospective clients about non-depository financial products/services. It also involves servicing current clients as part of the investment management team.

Requirements

  • Two to five years of similar or related experience.
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses.
  • Life insurance license.
  • Must be able to be registered with the SEC.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
  • Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting, selling, and servicing non-depository financial products.
  • Assisting Wealth Manager with servicing current clients as assigned.
  • Following broker/dealer and insurance company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining blotter, advertising, client, and correspondence files.
  • Accurately completing client profile for all new clients.
  • Accomplishing daily compliance requirements.
  • Daily accounting of various transactions.
  • Visiting branches to meet clients and train branch staff as needed.
  • Maintaining required individual insurance and securities licenses, including continuing education requirements.
  • Performing other duties as assigned and performing all duties in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Working at or attending community events as assigned.
  • Striving in all that they do to enhance the member experience at BFCU, including actively engaging in needs-based cross-servicing.
