About The Position

Roche Diagnostics Corporation seeks an Associate Finance Manager at its Indianapolis, IN location. In this individual contributor role, utilize, synthesize, and integrate confidential financial and operational datasets (including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, headcount/FTE, sales and expense drivers) to generate insights that guide results and strategy and help senior decision makers identify additional value-adding opportunities. Apply internal protocols and standard operating procedures to execute annual business planning, monthly forecasting, periodic performance reporting, and month-end close activities. Establish and maintain robust financial reporting systems, processes, and internal controls, including data validation, reconciliations, variance analysis and integrity checks to ensure reliability and compliance with Roche standards for financial statements and management information. Develop and maintain analytics and insights and financial modeling tools to support analysis of sales drivers, price/volume, cost of goods sold, and headcount trends. Prepare executive reports and presentation decks for the monthly US Leadership Team meetings. Lead local forecasting and Monthly Outlook cycles, coordinating the inputs from different areas of the organization, validating assumptions, preparing narratives and reporting on drivers/variances and delivering consolidated forecasts and models for the US Leadership Team. Integrate technology and automation into insights generation processes by automating recurring reporting and commentary collection, developing standard templates, training stakeholders, continuously scaling expertise for future efforts and streamlining processes across the organization. Partner with global finance stakeholders, including Strategic Finance, Enterprise Center of Excellence and other regional / global finance teams, and senior leaders to align on processes, validate assumptions and performance drivers. Support strategic and operational decision-making across time zones. Provide finance business partnering support to enabling functions by advising on budgets, forecasts, resource planning and performance tracking. May telecommute up to 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Business, or related.
  • 4 years of experience in job offered or related Financial Planning and Analysis position.
  • 3 years of experience must include: Accounting knowledge and financial statement analysis, including experience supporting month-end close, performing reconciliations and integrity checks, and preparing monthly management reporting in a multinational environment - across time zones.
  • Forecasting, budgeting, and performance management, including leading forecasting processes, coordinating cross-functional inputs, validating assumptions, and preparing narrative drivers/variance explanations for senior leadership review.
  • Data analysis and automation tools implementation, including experience with advanced Excel (VBA/macros) and emerging AI-enabled tools.
  • Finance business partnering and executive communication, including building executive reports/decks, translating complex financial performance into actionable insights.
  • Financial modeling and profitability analytics, including driver-based profitability and performance modeling, including revenue and P&L variance drivers.
  • Headcount and resource planning analytics, including FTE reporting, and headcount trend analysis to support resource allocation decisions.
  • Financial reporting governance and internal controls, including establishing reporting processes, defining standard metrics, documenting SOPs, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal standards.
  • Enterprise finance systems and data structures, including experience working with ERP/consolidation and planning/reporting environments, including SAP or comparable enterprise finance platforms, and interpreting system outputs for management reporting.
