About The Position

G3 Enterprises is seeking an Associate Finance Analyst to join their team in Modesto, CA. This role participates in the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, as well as 5-year business plans for designated divisions or business units. The analyst will track performance against budget, identify performance gaps, and develop recommendations for financial improvement. This position also supports research and financial/business analyses to assess the impact of various projects, systems, and transactions, and participates in analyzing performance, identifying problems, and driving process improvements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
  • Experience with MS Excel and MS Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance plus two years of Accounting or Finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Computer skill requirements include: intermediate MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, MS Excel, and databases.
  • Experience utilizing financial software/systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Skilled in making effective and persuasive speeches and presentations.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking and maintaining productivity while moving between concurrent projects.
  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the annual operating and capital budget as well as the 5 year business plan, coordinating with operations management to quantify the impact of operational initiatives and changes versus prior years.
  • Participates in evaluating monthly performance against the budget, identifies explanations for variances, looking for opportunities for improvement.
  • Provides early diagnostic data to assist management in the development of action plans to improve financials when needed.
  • Participates in the execution of strategies to achieve organizational goals, which includes pricing analysis when necessary.
  • Supports analyses and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investment.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Supports the development of department procedures and performance measures.
  • Maintains cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
