About The Position

As an Associate Field Service Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, tooling systems, operational planning, and field deployment support. You will work with experienced engineers, technicians, project managers, and supply chain professionals. You will develop expertise in equipment reliability, maintenance scheduling, inventory planning, and deployment readiness. Over time, this individual will grow into a lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting multiple equipment platforms, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and contributing to long-term equipment maintenance and asset management strategies. You will report to the Manager of Inspection Services Tooling and Maintenance and be located at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. This is an onsite position with up to 30% travel during spring and fall deployment seasons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on equipment maintenance and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance procedures, and engineering documentation.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Travel extensively during spring and fall deployment seasons, including assignments that may last several weeks to multiple months at a time.
  • Work extended schedules while supporting field operations, including: 12-hour day or night shifts, 6 to 7 days per week during active deployments.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50–60 pounds.
  • Ascend and descend ladders and access elevated work areas.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
  • Work safely in industrial environments, including active construction, manufacturing, and operational sites.
  • Work in radiological environments following all applicable procedures, training requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and refurbishment of equipment and tooling assets.
  • Support preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and readiness.
  • Support maintenance scheduling and equipment readiness planning for upcoming field projects.
  • Assist in forecasting maintenance requirements, spare parts needs, and equipment availability.
  • Maintain inventory records and monitor critical spare part levels.
  • Support equipment mobilization, deployment, operation, maintenance, and demobilization activities at field locations.
