About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Associate, Field Engineer to join our dynamic team in the testing and troubleshooting of AUVs. This is a unique opportunity for a student with a maritime engineering background to gain hands-on experience working with autonomous systems in real-world maritime conditions.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Ocean Engineering or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in both onshore and offshore testing of autonomous underwater vehicles in various environmental conditions.
  • Work alongside industry experts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to AUV hardware, sensors, and software.
  • Assist with the collection of test data, performing basic analysis and documenting findings for future improvements and reporting.
  • Help with routine maintenance and preparation of AUV systems, including checking and preparing hardware before field testing.
  • Engage with experienced engineers and professionals in both classroom settings and field operations, learning hands-on troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Ensure that all field activities follow safety protocols, environmental standards, and legal requirements.
  • Assist in creating technical reports, detailing testing procedures, results, and recommendations for future test iterations or improvements.
