About The Position

The Associate Fabricator (NC Operator) is responsible for loading programs, setting up, and maintaining machine functions on CNC turret punch press to the specifications contained within work orders and production drawings. Fabricator is required to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and LEAN production goals set by the fabrication leadership team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Safety: able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment.
  • Attendance: able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: able to apply basic algebraic and geometric concepts. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimal equivalents.
  • Reading Comprehension: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Problem Solving: able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Analysis/ Reasoning: able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Speaking: able to effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization.
  • Measurements: able to read a tape measure to 1/32” tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree.
  • Tools: hand and power tools as well as powered industrial equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year Related manufacturing experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC turret punch press for required operation (loading programs, changing tools, etc) and manufacture parts according to prints and work orders.
  • Perform quality inspections to drawings and specifications per procedures.
  • Communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements.
  • Package finished products in cartons, applying labels, and palletizing finished products.
  • Gather and stage work and maintain a clean work environment.
