About The Position

This role involves assisting in the fabrication and assembly of custom products, learning various production processes, and ensuring quality control. The technician will handle materials, prepare orders for shipment, and support customer interactions. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe and organized work environment and collaborating with team members.

Requirements

Valid driver's license
Forklift driving experience
Must frequently lift and move 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds
High school diploma or equivalent

Industrial distribution experience in the pipe, valve and fittings industry

Responsibilities

Assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom products according to customer specifications and company standards.
Learn to cut and prepare steel pipe, assemble plastic liners, and support welding and fabrication processes.
Follow established quality control procedures to help ensure products meet company and industry standards.
Inspect finished products for proper dimensions, fit, and overall quality.
Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
Prepare, package, and stage completed orders for shipment.
Assist with inventory organization and material handling within the department.
Support walk-in customer orders by pulling materials, packaging products, and completing basic paperwork.
Help process customer returns by verifying quantities and inspecting materials.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Work closely with team members and supervisors to learn department processes and contribute to daily operations.
