About The Position
An entry level position. Prepares original shop drawings or maps which involve extensive and complex details. Uses computerized methods of drafting and design.
Requirements
- Understanding of basic piping components.
- Understanding of fabrication practices.
- A high school graduate or GED.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of applicable software. Including but not limited to Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Working knowledge of schematic drawings.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pipe fitting or welding.
Responsibilities
- Produces accurate fabrication detail drawings.
- Produces complex and complete fabrication drawings or maps with a high degree of technical accuracy.
- Performs work according to established practices and guidelines.
- Demonstrates initiative and judgment in such matters as selecting, placing and accentuating detail or identifying problems.
- Is required to be familiar with the requirements of associated disciplines.
- Makes decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and procedures.
- Exercises initiative in completing recurring assignments.
