The Level 4 Software Engineering Associate Manager Display Products Management team is responsible for providing leadership and functional management to a cross-product team of engineering and technology professionals supporting our Multi Domain Combat Solutions (MDCS) market segment. Display Products develops user interface software products which span across MDCS, including developing, integrating and delivering the Aegis Display System, Integrated Combat System Display, and SSDS Display.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related field with 5 years professional experience.
  • Experience with Software Development processes and/or System Engineering processes
  • Demonstrated experience leading Engineering teams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated project leadership experience for 2+ years
  • Experience with Aegis Weapon System or similar combat system development program
  • Experience with US Navy or Missile Defense Agency projects
  • Experience with Agile development processes or DevSecOps processes
  • Development experience using one or more software languages (ie java, javascript, angular, etc.)
  • Experience as a software architect
  • Experience with cost estimation and staffing resourcing
  • Experience with Control Account Management (CAM) processes
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with various employee levels
  • Experience building software development kits (SDKs)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-discipline team of approximately 12-20 engineers executing the design and development of products within the MDCS Display product line.
  • Ensure appropriate engineering processes, technical personnel, and design tools are applied and managed.
  • Manage staffing responsibilities including projection and planning of appropriate staffing levels, recruiting and selection of interns, contractors, college hires and experienced professionals.
  • Oversee performance assessments, career development & guidance, merit and salary actions, training plans, staffing, and recruiting for the functional group.
  • Provide direction to the team, ensuring innovative solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Partner with the department and Combat Systems Integrated Engineering Organization to advance products, processes, and technologies.
  • Evolve engineering practices to best execute current work and win future opportunities.
