About The Position

Join a dynamic IT support team where you’ll play a key role in keeping systems running smoothly and users productive. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to support PCs, mobile devices, virtual machines, and in-house applications while troubleshooting issues, deploying new workstations, and delivering responsive technical support to a wide range of users and departments.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of networked computer systems, operations, terminology, procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to install office automation software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics presentation software, and calendaring.
  • Interpret and analyze computer error messages.
  • Consult with users to assess and determine user’s needs and requirements.
  • Train individuals and groups.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot applications.
  • Effectively communicate complex and technical data processing information.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effectively work with supervisors, judiciary, vendors, users and other county and state agencies.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals with differing levels of technical knowledge and abilities.
  • Test software capability, conduct analysis and make recommendations.
  • Stage, configure and install new hardware.
  • Provide post-support for hardware and software
  • Support desktop images.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience and / or military experience
  • Overall 2+ years of experience in computer support

Responsibilities

  • Enable/disable user accounts.
  • Reset user passwords.
  • Provide set-up and troubleshooting functions including remote and in-person user support, PCs and mobile devices.
  • Replace computer hardware including entire PCs or PC hardware components.
  • Perform troubleshooting escalations according to documented procedures.
  • Create, update and log trouble tickets into Jira Helpdesk System.
  • Assign Virtual Machines to users.
  • Test software for in-house developed applications and train users on in-house developed applications.
  • Deploy new workstations and enable user rights and permissions for network access or application servers.
  • Cross-train to assist customers/users in Court Business Center when coverage is needed.
  • Special projects, as assigned.
