The Associate Engineer will be responsible for project execution, including process improvements using existing equipment and/or selection, justification, CAR processing, purchasing, and installation of new equipment. This role will also support efforts including in-person training and documentation. The engineer will determine design and recommend changes to implement manufacturing systems that increase productivity, considering machine, human interaction, method/process, raw material, and environmental variability. Designs should incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use and maintenance, minimize changeover times, and reduce production losses. The position involves providing cross-functional project management across key manufacturing areas and managing projects through a review process from scope charters to successful startup transition. This includes working with plant operational teams on training, writing standard operating procedures, and maintaining training plans. The role also requires applying Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations to daily operations, including writing procedures, conducting Change Management paperwork, and adhering to Federal and State guidelines. Frequent interaction with plant personnel, operators, coordinators, and maintenance personnel within a Continuous Operation shift structure is expected.
