About The Position

An Associate Electronic Assembler is responsible for assembling a range of components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, following detailed written instructions to meet quality and production requirements. This is an onsite opportunity ideal for candidates looking to grow within a dynamic and expanding organization.

Requirements

  • Has basic knowledge of soldering and can complete a J-STD certification and pass a soldering skill evaluation
  • Capable of reading blueprints and follow work instructions
  • Must have basic understanding of computers
  • A minimum 2 years’ experience as an electronic assembler with proven soldering proficiency
  • Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day, ability to move about, bends, stoops, uses hands and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
  • This position is not eligible for employer-based visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles handpieces, optical products, and various types of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic products according to written specifications and procedures
  • Assembles, prepares, and molds various types of wire harnesses and cable assemblies
  • Inspects parts, assemblies, and products throughout the production process
  • Performs production tests on various assemblies, subassemblies, and final products
  • Uses a variety of hand tools and manual, semi-automatic, automatic assembly test equipment
  • Understands and complies with ESD requirements
  • Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment
  • Performs preventive maintenance on tools, equipment and machines as required.
  • Performs other related tasks including housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required.
  • Sustains and maintains 6S standards and all continuous improvement activities
  • Communicates with the other shifts, if applicable, the status of parts, equipment and any other matters that might have an impact on their job.
