Associate Electrical Engineer

About The Position

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for performing engineering tests and managing magnetics engineering projects associated with transformer design. This role will involve working under the supervision of a senior engineer to design, develop, and test magnetic components and systems.

Requirements

Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, with a preferred focus on electromagnetics and/or power systems.
Hands-on experience with engineering testing equipment and software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct engineering tests on power conversion systems to ensure performance and reliability.
Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze test data and identify opportunities for design improvements.
Prepare technical reports and documentation detailing test procedures, results, and design modifications.
Assist in the design and development of magnetic components for transformers, including core and coil assemblies.
Perform calculations and simulations to optimize transformer designs for efficiency and performance.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings to support project planning and execution.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in transformer and magnetics engineering.
Perform responsibilities in a manner consistent with Schumacher’s purpose, core values and strategic anchors.
Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
