About The Position

ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical (DCMC) group provides client-centric engineering design services specializing in enterprise, co-location, and hyper-scale data centers. They offer flexible, scalable solutions focused on energy efficiency and operational reliability. Services include pre- and post-construction design engineering, site evaluations, and infrastructure optimization. The group emphasizes transparent collaboration throughout all project phases, ensuring cohesion, accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget. Their expertise covers electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering, commissioning, acceptance testing, and construction management. ENERCON's entry-level Electrical Engineers contribute to impactful projects in areas like power grid modernization, renewable energy, and nuclear/environmental safety. They gain hands-on experience designing and evaluating electrical systems for power-generating facilities, learning how their work integrates with other engineering disciplines. Requirements

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Electrical Engineering.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between January 2026 and July 2027.
  • A solid working foundation with the major’s core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
  • Completion of pre-interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

  • Preferred Courses: Circuit Analysis (could be called Circuits I, Circuits II, Intro to Circuits, etc.), Power Systems (could be called Electric Power, Electric Machines, Power Systems, Power Engineering, etc.), and Control Systems.
