This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Melbourne, FL. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Vehicle Engineering directorate.

Requirements

  • Associate Electrical Engineer (T01): Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
  • Associate Electrical Engineer (T01): Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
  • Associate Electrical Engineer (T01): Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
  • Electrical Engineer (T02): Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027 or is completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of electrical engineering experience by August 2027.
  • Electrical Engineer (T02): Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.
  • Electrical Engineer (T02): Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks.
  • Involvement in multiple aspects of aircraft subsystem development including electrical design, analysis, requirements, lab testing, data post processing, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Aircraft subsystems may include, but are not limited to, Avionic System Architecture, Cable Design, and Electrical Power Generation & Distribution.
