About The Position
Associate Veterinarian — Steele Creek Animal Hospital, Charlotte, NC Join a privately owned practice where medicine, mentorship, and rehabilitation come together. Since 1985, Steele Creek Animal Hospital has been a trusted name in Charlotte, NC — a Fear Free, feline-friendly, progressive small animal hospital built on exceptional medicine and an exceptionally loyal client base. Now we're looking for a full-time GP veterinarian with surgical experience to join our team, work days and rotating weekends, and help us continue raising the bar for veterinary care in our community. Requirements
- DVM from an accredited university.
- Active, good-standing license to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina.
- Strong communication skills and sound clinical decision-making.
- A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and the veterinary code of ethics.
- A progressive, patient-first clinical mindset.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude that fits a collaborative team.

Responsibilities
- Build genuine rapport with clients, understand their needs, and deliver physical exams, diagnostics, surgery, and dental care that keep patient stress and discomfort to a minimum.
- Communicate exam findings and diagnoses clearly, and walk clients through treatment plans, preventive care, nutrition, and vaccine protocols.
- Keep meticulous medical records and support colleagues with discharge, follow-up, and ongoing case management.
- Stay current through CE, seminars, and the latest developments in the field.
- Help mentor and develop our paraprofessional team.
- Represent SCAH with pride in the professional community and beyond.
