About The Position

Parsons is hiring an Associate Drainage Engineer for its Indianapolis office as part of its Critical Infrastructure team. The role involves drainage design for transportation engineering projects and collaboration with other design disciplines. Requirements

Four-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Zero or more years of related work experience.
Basic process engineering knowledge.
Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.

Nice To Haves

Prior internship experience.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate.
Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

Perform storm drain design hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
Perform detention and water quality calculations.
Develop storm drain plans, profiles, and details under the direction of senior drainage engineers.
Coordinate with roadway, structural, and utilities disciplines to develop comprehensive project designs.
Prepare drawings, specifications, and other materials for procurement and construction, using CAE/CAD as applicable.
Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Review supplier drawing submittals and assist with technical bid analyses.
Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers.
Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
