About The Position

The Associate Director, WW Autoimmune Cell Therapy Medical Affairs is a core member of the Worldwide Medical Affairs team and a key contributor to the development and execution of the global medical strategy across zola-cel indications in rheumatology. This individual helps shape and operationalize the worldwide medical plan with a focus on launch readiness, scientific exchange, medical education, expert engagement, advisory boards, congress strategy, medical materials, and contracting for medical affairs activities. The role supports consistent global-to-local knowledge transfer and execution while ensuring activities are aligned with the rheumatology strategy and the needs of external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Advanced, scientific or medical degree, e.g. DO, MD, NP, PA, PharmD, PhD
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in the pharma/biopharma industry or clinical practice
  • US Market and Cell Therapy experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced understanding of drug development, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries
  • Strong leadership experience in a matrix environment with multi-functional project teams and managing external agencies
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills commensurate with the need to work closely with both external physicians/scientists and in-house teams
  • Ability to navigate complex topics in a matrix environment with grace and confidence
  • Strong listening, problem solving, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills including the ability to work under pressure, and to maintain scientific excellence within timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong oral presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and integrity; representing the company’s high ethics, moral behavior, and professionalism standards

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the worldwide medical affairs strategy for zola-cel across rheumatology indications
  • Partner with regional and market medical teams to translate global strategy into actionable medical plans, ensuring consistency of scientific narrative, launch readiness, and execution across geographies
  • Lead worldwide medical education initiatives aligned to unmet educational needs in rheumatology, including development of medical content and training materials, for internal and external audiences
  • Plan and execute advisory boards, expert meetings, and other scientific engagement activities to gather insights, inform strategy, and strengthen scientific partnerships relevant to zola-cel in rheumatology
  • Oversee contracting for medical engagements, including advisory boards, consulting, and speaker-related activities, in partnership with Procurement, Legal, Compliance, and operational stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant execution and budget stewardship
  • Support the development and execution of worldwide congress strategy in collaboration with cross-functional partners, including scientific presence, symposia, exhibits, compliant expert engagement, insights capture, and dissemination of key learnings to regions and markets
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer from headquarters to regions, markets, and field medical teams through scientific narratives, lexicons, training, and ongoing communication of strategic priorities
