About The Position

The Capabilities Analysis and Assessment (CA&A) team is seeking an Associate Director for Warfighter Requirements to join our Requirements and Capabilities (R&C) organization. The Associate Director will support our Analysis and Capture Excellence (ACE) team by developing an understanding of how warfighters are employing Raytheon (or other defense industry) systems within current global operations and relaying relevant lessons learned and opportunities to leadership. In this position, the Associate Director will work closely with the Integrated Solutions, Modeling and Architectures (ISMA) engineering team to integrate threat and intelligence information into all modeling and Operations Analysis (OA) efforts. The chosen candidate will also work with Customer Account Managers (CAMs) to ensure that customer engagements are informed by up-to-date knowledge on real world events. Additionally, as conflicts arise around the world, the Associate Director will be the focal point within Raytheon to work closely with business units and R&C leadership to ensure uniform understanding of impacts for Raytheon product lines.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience in an engineering science, intelligence studies, or related field and minimum of 12 years of experience conducting intelligence studies, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Experience deriving analytical conclusions from reading large quantities of data, and writing technical briefs
  • Experience with operational analysis and modeling and simulation tools
  • Operational experience as a former U.S. Military Officer or civilian employee
  • Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency, the National Intelligence Community or a Combatant Command
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • TS/SCI - Current Security Clearance Type
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, working in a matrixed environment
  • Relationships / experience with the intelligence community, the Missile Defense Agency and U.S. Government Laboratories
  • Previous military experience as an intelligence analyst and/or operator with JOINT duty experience
  • Understanding of descriptive and analytical models such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM)

Responsibilities

  • Research how Raytheon (or other defense industry) systems are being used by warfighters and summarize findings and recommendations for senior leadership
  • Identify new product or sustainment opportunities that arise based on current warfighter requirements or identified operational gaps and work across the enterprise to refine business and technical strategies accordingly
  • Coordinate with CAMs to understand and address warfighter requirements through a customer mission-based approach and provide direct support to related customer engagements
  • Work with other CA&A team members to answer warfighter requirement and threat related requests for information (RFI)
  • Develop and present regularly scheduled Intelligence updates to the Raytheon Senior Leadership Team, as well as need to know engineers, Business Development, and Program Management professionals
  • Work directly with the intelligence community on research tasks to help close gaps that affect Raytheon current and future capabilities
