It also includes driving cross-functional evaluations, industry-engagement support, and systems-engineering-based trade studies to establish an end-to-end understanding of future operational needs. The position will manage new products/services with new market capabilities and offerings, lead strategic planning efforts, and establish objectives for large-sized programs. The Associate Director will be responsible for the accountability of the workforce in organizational operations and customer projects, managing geographic areas, business segments, product groups, or large programs to oversee overall operational performance and success. They will maintain accountability for the business success of the full value stream lifecycle to ensure they meet strategic goals and maintain associated measures of success. This includes accountability for the full lifecycle of products and services from inception through completion, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans. The role serves as the chair of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) accountable for managing the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule, performance, and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs. The Associate Director will maintain profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for a specified value stream or group of value streams within a business segment or portfolio and manage large risks with meaningful financial and schedule impacts and strategic implications for the enterprise.
