East Hartford Repair Operations (EHRO) is looking to fill an open position as the EHRO Transformation Manager, leading a multi-disciplined transformation team on site. The Transformation team supports both the CT Rotating Parts (CTRP) and CT Stators and Components (CTSC) Businesses within EHRO and drives site level initiatives to impact the performance of the business. The Transformation Manager and their team support growth of the business through the introduction of new repair hardware into the shop, development of modern solutions and technology introduction, and the creation of digital tools to guide the decisions of the EHRO team. The transformation team also supports current shop operations by providing effective maintenance to machine tools and the facility and maintaining a training program to meet current operational needs. This is a key leadership role within EHRO, and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the candidate will develop business strategy for both near and long-term objectives for EHRO.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 10+ years of experience of experience in Operations, Engineering, Project Management or technical role within a complex, high‑precision production environment; OR Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing both direct & indirect reports.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology deployment, or capability implementation to include automation, digital manufacturing, advanced machining, or next‑generation manufacturing technologies.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in STEM field; Engineering fields preferred.
  • Experience leading capital strategy, technology roadmaps, and large‑scale transformation.
  • Experience with controls hardware design utilizing a broad range of components and architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures, ideally within a repair station or engine DAT environment.
  • Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead large, complex projects across different time zones.
  • Ability to interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and principles (e.g. CORE/ACE, Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Power Bi, Ignition! SQL, Digital Twin, Kepware, SAP ERP, Solumina MES and Teamcenter.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence senior leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical team responsible for introducing new repairs into the shop, including GTF and F135 program hardware
  • Lead the introduction of advanced technology solutions to support the overhaul process
  • Manage the effective maintenance of machine tools and facility support equipment with EHRO MTS team, and through coordination with EH Site Facilities
  • Ensure facility readiness for future growth, introducing additional site infrastructure if required to support long term business planning
  • Identify, develop and implement new digital tools to support CTSC and CTRP business goals, and share best practices with the network
  • Lead site introduction of capital equipment, and manage capital targets and budget for the site
  • Lead the site CORE team, driving engagement with both business units
  • Manage site training program, including for hourly work force through the EHRO Training Manager, which reports to the Transformation Manager
