Reporting to the Director of the Office of Public Safety & Security (OPSS), the Associate Director is responsible for leading all university-wide emergency management programs. The Associate Director develops, implements, and coordinates the university’s emergency management plans, procedures, and processes; serves as the primary emergency management liaison with campus, local, county, state, and federal officials; ensures the university meets the applicable compliance standards; coordinates and serves as a resource on funding issues related to disasters; assists in the procurement of the university’s emergency notification systems; and maintains the campus Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
