About The Position

The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance. The Enterprise Test Engineering ("ETE") family is responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. The ETE family encompasses three major areas including (a) functional testing, (b) non-functional testing, and (c) test architecture and enablement. Other key focuses include: regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing. Develops, conducts, and evaluates testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. In-depth knowledge of automated testing tools, and quality control and assurance approaches including the creation of reusable foundational test automation framework for the entire organization. The Test Engineering role is responsible for ensuring that all applications, system products, projects, and solutions meet defined enterprise quality standards. Provide centralized, independent quality assurance services across the firm, including functional and non-functional testing for all products, services, and applications across businesses. Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions, providing testing expertise, oversight, and direction to ensure the functionality of solutions and that design specifications are met. Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology. The goal of this new department is to partner internally with IT, our business and regulatory divisions and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to help build new platforms and business models to advance DTCC’s mission to support the financial markets.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Support an environment that ensures employees understand how their efforts contribute to overall business strategy
• Manage the team's book of work, partnering with leadership to plan the future supply and demand of resources required
• Evaluate the testing status of projects while identifying and escalating critical risks
• Ensure on-time delivery of work including; monitoring dependencies, tracking progress and project milestone completion
• Influence designs towards re-usable IT components and services keeping in mind test validation and test automation principles
• Maintain a high degree of cross-team and cross-application coordination to ensure end-to-end testing meets intended objectives
• Drives the preparation and execution of end-to-end and automated test planning and execution activities
• Provide testing expertise to project teams; partner with Development team to troubleshoot application issues
• Interact with senior management to share and present future automation strategy
• Ensure team's adherence to departmental and organizational policy and procedures
• Review test strategy with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage and obtain feedback
• Responsible for the provisioning of test environments for the team, and assist with coordination to resolve issues
• Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
