About The Position

The Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) practice at Berkeley Research Group (BRG) provides end-to-end advisory support to healthcare providers, payers, investors, and other stakeholders navigating complex strategic, operational, financial, and clinical challenges. Led by seasoned healthcare executives, operators, and clinicians, IHS partners with organizations to drive sustainable performance improvement and long-term growth through strategic growth design, operating model transformation, technology, AI, and digital enablement, clinical quality and patient care optimization, and revenue strategy—helping clients build resilient, future-ready healthcare enterprises in an increasingly complex environment. BRG Technology, AI, & Digital Solutions delivers analytics and technology solutions that improve decisions, automate manual processes, and scale performance across the enterprise. BRG supports financial, operational, and clinical use cases through advanced analytics, automation, dashboards, and responsible AI. We also assess AI readiness and help build the data, governance, and operating foundations needed to develop and scale high‑impact AI use cases. The IHS Technology, AI, & Digital Solutions team is seeking an Associate Director to lead complex healthcare technology and digital transformation engagements. This role directs day-to-day delivery, manages project economics and risk, and works with senior client leaders to translate strategic, operational, financial, and clinical priorities into practical technology roadmaps and solutions. The Associate Director develops teams, maintains rigorous quality standards, and contributes to solution development, client relationships, and business growth.

Requirements

At least 10 years of consulting and/or industry experience in healthcare technology, digital transformation, analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines is required.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related discipline is required.
Demonstrated experience leading complex consulting or technology engagements, developing project approaches, estimating budgets and timelines, and monitoring project economics is required.
Experience translating business, clinical, operational, or financial needs into technology strategies, requirements, roadmaps, and implementation plans is required.
Experience developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with executive clients and communicating technical concepts to business audiences is required.
Ability to manage multiple engagements or workstreams simultaneously and lead teams through ambiguity with disciplined execution is required.
Experience reviewing complex analyses and technology deliverables for accuracy, clarity, and practical application is required.
Ability to train and support the professional development of staff in project-management and technical dimensions is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
Candidate must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day delivery of technology, AI, analytics, automation, and digital transformation engagements, including planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery; often serve as a key client contact.
Manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders concurrently; set expectations, track dependencies, and drive closure on decisions and action items.
Own project economics for assigned engagements and workstreams, including budgeting, burn management, and forecasting, and proactively identify and escalate delivery risks.
Collaborate with business, clinical, operational, and technology leaders to identify high-value opportunities and translate them into practical solution roadmaps.
Direct the development of standardized and custom solutions and client deliverables, including complex analyses, technology recommendations, implementation plans, and executive-ready presentations.
Maintain rigorous quality control across analyses, requirements, solution designs, dashboards, models, and written deliverables through structured review and documentation standards.
Manage staff through consistent delegation, supervision, feedback, and coaching; support career development and readiness for increased responsibility.
Manage vendor and platform relationships, evaluate relevant capabilities, and incorporate applicable industry practices into client solutions.
Support business development by identifying follow-on opportunities, contributing to proposals and scopes, and developing client-ready methodologies and content.
Contribute to practice development through recruiting, training, thought leadership, and the creation of reusable tools, templates, and delivery methods.
