About The Position

IQVIA Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, Software Development Engineering in Wayne, PA. This role may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. and report electronically to the Wayne, PA work location. The position involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging cloud-based software programs based on business needs and requirements, working across the complete cloud stack (SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS). The role supports the generation of technical engineering products by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle. Responsibilities include using the latest programming languages and leading-edge technologies, writing code, completing programming, and performing testing and debugging of system components. The Associate Director will define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. This role requires close collaboration with clients and third parties on infrastructure-related planning and operations, and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses and manage backup/restore operations. This position has supervisory responsibilities for software developers or related personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible software development experience.
Five (5) years of experience with working in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Five (5) years of experience with tuning of Procedures, Packages, SQL Statements.
Five (5) years of experience utilizing Stored Procedures, Triggers and Views on various databases like SQL Server, Informix, and Terra Data.
Five (5) years of experience utilizing Agile and Waterfall models for development.
Five (5) years of experience utilizing web development tools like Angular, HTML5, jQuery, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and AngularJS.
Five (5) years of experience performing Web, Client Server and 3-tier applications using Microsoft .NET framework.
Five (5) years of experience utilizing C#, .Net, and C++ programming languages.
Five (5) years of experience working simultaneously on multiple priorities.
Three (3) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Business Intelligence (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS).
Three (3) years of experience understanding stakeholder requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems, and processes to enable translation of requirements into usable features and functionality.
Three (3) years of experience utilizing MongoDB.
Three (3) years of experience processing claims or working with claims adjudication technology.
Three (3) years of experience building tools like Ant and Hudson.
Three (3) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Cloud Platform, JIRA, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug cloud-based software programs based on business needs and requirements.
Work across the complete cloud stack i.e. Software as a Service (SaaS), and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) and/or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Support the generation of technical engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
Use the latest programming language and leading-edge technologies, write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of system components.
Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
Work closely with clients and third parties on infrastructure related planning and operation.
Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses and manage backup/restore operation.
Supervise software developers or related personnel.
