Associate Director, Research - Americas Equity
About The Position
UBS SECURITIES LLC is seeking an Associate Director, Research - Americas Equity in New York, NY. This role involves conducting analysis and providing financial insights for select Chemicals, Paper & Packaging securities to aid in making solid investment decisions. The Associate Director will author research reports on covered companies, build and maintain financial models, and communicate investment theses to clients and institutional sales. The position also requires performing due diligence for potential banking transactions and companies (IPO’s and follow-ons). The role can be worked on a hybrid basis (In-office/remote).
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as a Research Associate, Research Analyst, or related occupation.
- OR Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as a Research Associate, Research Analyst, or related occupation.
- Covering Chemicals, Paper & Packaging stock
- Building and maintaining full financial models in excel with integrated P&L/BS/CF
- Constructing investment theses on companies, factoring in valuation, catalysts, risk-reward and sentiment
- Sell side or buy side Chemicals, Paper & Packaging analysis
- Analyzing 3rd party data
- Presenting to and communicating with Chemicals, Paper & Packaging C-suite
- Liaising with Chemicals, Paper & Packaging key opinion leaders
- Financial modelling
- Equity valuation
- Statistical analysis
Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and provide financial insights for select Chemicals, Paper & Packaging securities to aid in making solid investment decisions.
- Author research reports on covered companies to communicate investment theses and opine on news flow events.
- Build and maintain financial models to track and value companies.
- Prepare research reports that include company overview, competitive analysis, valuation, and other relevant information based on quantitative and fundamental factors.
- Communicate investment theses to clients and institutional sales.
- Attend industry and investor events.
- Perform due diligence for potential banking transactions and companies (IPO’s and follow-ons).
