About The Position

This role reports to the Director, US Regulatory Reporting Service Technology in Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS). The Associate Director, Project Portfolio Manager will support the execution of strategic initiatives within the QTS division, assisting with $20M annual budgets oversight, resource management, fiscal planning, and operational reporting. This role requires solid technology expertise and experience supporting financial and resource decisions. This role involves collaborating with Capital Markets Operations leadership and CBOS management teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in delivery and execution of medium to large-scale initiatives, with exposure to PMO practices, governance, and controls.
  • Experience in support senior leaderships, relationship management, project/program management, and supporting transformation initiatives is preferred.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with excellent written and oral communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to build credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization while navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Solid understanding of the technology delivery landscape, including system development lifecycle/s, 3rd party technology management, regulatory requirements, and the technology and/or financial services industry.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple concurrent priorities with strong organizational and time management capabilities, and meet consistently high-quality standards.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, coupled with change management experience supporting complex programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders and a deadline-driven, results-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Supports annual planning for Regulatory Reporting development and maintenance, organizing planning sessions with internal teams and middle office clients, while streamlining the planning and budgeting process.
  • Works with the CBOS Management Team to track project funding and approvals, identifying and escalating funding gaps while maintaining regular communication on budget status.
  • Monitors, reports and forecasts resources and professional fees budgets, identify forecast vs. budget variance.
  • Supports vendor management to drive competitive pricing, and contributes to cost efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborates with PMO Governance team on forecasting and budgeting consistency, assists in validating third-party engagements and contracts, and works with external vendor consultant managers.
  • Manages assigned concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time-efficient manner, monitoring and controlling activities according to plan.
  • Identifies potential issues, conflicts, and risks within assigned projects, analyzes and recommends mitigations while escalating appropriately.
  • Supports the development and execution of change management plans and assists with managing communications on cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
  • Builds collaborative relationships across business units and platforms, working with groups to support deliverables while ensuring initiatives align with RBC procedures and processes.
