Reporting to the Director of Programs (for faculty affairs and administration) in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, the Associate Director of Programs (for faculty engagement and advancement) provides strategic leadership, oversight, and operational management for the Department’s Faculty Advancement & Engagement portfolio. The Associate Director partners closely with the Vice Chair for Faculty Advancement & Engagement and other departmental leaders to align the portfolio with strategic priorities and ensure programs remain responsive to evolving organizational needs. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and continuously improving programs that support the faculty lifecycle, from newcomer integration through career advancement and recognition, while fostering an engaging and inclusive academic community. The Associate Director is responsible for establishing program goals, measuring outcomes, assessing impact, and using data-driven insights to continuously enhance program effectiveness and faculty experience. The current portfolio includes programs and initiatives related to: Faculty integration, engagement, belonging, wellness, and alumni relations Career development, mentorship, leadership development, and professional growth Faculty advancement, including appointments, promotions, and clinical distinctions Faculty recognition, awards, and visibility initiatives Global health engagement and education The Associate Director collaborates extensively with School of Medicine, Emory Healthcare, and university partners to leverage institutional resources, align initiatives, and advance department-wide faculty success strategies. The Associate Director provides leadership, supervision, coaching, and professional development for a high-performing team (currently four direct reports), fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
