Requirements

  • Valid unencumbered Registered Pharmacist (RPh) License in the state of Ohio required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from a university accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy required; graduate degree such as MS, MBA, PharmD strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience in clinical setting required.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacy supervisory and administrative experience required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and oversee the daily operations of the centralized Pharmacy teams.
  • Actively engage with each team member’s individual performance through ongoing coaching, development, and meeting objectives through the annual review process.
  • Able to perform all job functions of a Pharmacist and provide coverage if needed.
  • Identify and implement use of appropriate metrics to measure quality outcomes and assist in the development of performance improvement activities.
  • Assist pharmacy leadership in ensuring compliance with all licensure and governing body requirements, including but not limited to: Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, Office of Pharmacy Affairs (including 340B Drug Pricing Program), and all state and federal drug laws.
  • Oversee and monitor records of pharmacy transactions necessary to ensure adequate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws and regulations necessary to meet all inspection and other operational requirements, including 340B contracts.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy team to effectively manage inventory and implement cost saving measures, where applicable.
  • Serve as pharmacy point of escalation for inquiries requiring a higher degree of expertise or discretion to resolve concerns.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and offer solutions to drive growth, improve efficiencies, and advance patient care.
  • Actively develop, participate, and lead team meetings and support training opportunities to improve outcomes and patient care.
  • May be required to provide remote services as determined by Signature Heath.
  • Other duties as assigned.
