About The Position

The Arc Erie County NY is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Associate Director of Vocational & Employment Services (VES) to help lead and grow programs that empower individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve meaningful employment and community inclusion. This leadership role blends program oversight, staff supervision, compliance and innovation, working closely with the Director of VES to ensure high-quality, person-centered services across community-based programs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree + 1 year of direct service experience (including supervision)
• Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of direct service experience (including supervision)
• Experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation (local travel required)

Responsibilities

• Oversee vocational and employment programs to ensure quality, compliance and positive outcomes
• Supervise and support Coordinators and professional staff across multiple sites
• Review assessments, service plans, and placements for accuracy and effectiveness
• Support job development, supported employment, and post-secondary programming
• Develop new programs and identify opportunities to expand services
• Build and maintain partnerships with employers, colleges, funders, and community agencies
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and regulatory compliance
