About The Position

The Associate Director of Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) provides clinical and administrative leadership for FPCSN’s School-Based Behavioral Health and School-Based Health Center (SBHC) programming, while continuing to support departmental IBH initiatives. This role will have primary focus toward oversight, development, expansion, and operational management of clinical services across FPCSN schools. The Associate Director will provide 0.4 FTE direct clinical services, primarily within school-based settings, and will oversee productivity, partnerships, compliance, reporting, and growth of school-based programming. The Associate Director of Integrated Behavioral Health is responsible for providing mentorship to departmental roles and will support with maintaining department productivity measures in addition to timely completion of department documentation. Travel between school sites and health centers is required. The Associate Director of Integrated Behavioral Health will provide clinical supervision to departmental BHC roles, interns, and/or any department administrative staff as assigned. This role will share in the responsibility of department CQI measures, assist with training and on-boarding department staff, complete chart/peer review processes as deemed necessary, and plans ongoing IBH trainings and in-services as required by funders.

Requirements

LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist.
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience as a BHC working in an integrated primary care behavioral health setting (can include student practicum experience if full-time and if received individual supervision from a licensed practitioner at least weekly).
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience providing program management, leadership, and/or clinical supervision.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise, work independently, and as part of a team.
Competency in working with individuals, families, couples, and/or groups with mental health problems, substance abuse problems, and/or the dually diagnosed.
Ability to maintain charts and provide reports as needed.
Has completed updated trainings on mental health and substance abuse related topics.
Ability to utilize and follow all mental health and drug and alcohol licensing requirements of the state, insurance companies, and other funding sources.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight of all school-based behavioral health programming.
Serve as primary liaison to school administrators, Philadelphia school district, and community partners.
Collaborate in the development and maintenance of contracts and MOUs with participating schools (annual review and summer renewal cycle).
Oversee school partnership engagement, including: Participate in summer and back-to-school planning meetings to support school-based program readiness, Maintain ongoing liaison work throughout the academic year to support communication and coordination, Troubleshoot site-level operational concerns as they arise to support smooth program implementation.
Represent FPCSN at: School district meetings (1–2x/month or as required), PASBHA state calls (quarterly), BCN/EDPS/FPCSN meetings (monthly), Student support meetings as scheduled at FPCSN school locations.
Attend/co-facilitate monthly School Based team meetings.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and documentation review for school-based clinicians.
Conduct school-based chart audits and quality reviews.
Support scheduling coordination between school sites and health centers.
Develop, participate, and execute school-based outreach strategy including: Tabling events, Community engagement events, School open houses, Marketing initiatives, including brochures and other materials, to increase enrollment and utilization.
Monitor and manage school-based productivity, access, and service expansion goals.
Provide direct clinical and administrative supervision to school-based clinicians (minimum 1–2x/month).
Participate in supervision with Director of Integrated Behavioral Health.
Document supervisory sessions.
Assist with performance evaluations of assigned staff.
Provide 0.4 FTE direct clinical services (approximately 9–12 patient contact hours weekly), primarily within school-based settings.
Conduct brief consultations, assessments, and short-term interventions.
Participate in crisis intervention response within school sites.
Coordinate referrals to higher levels of care when indicated.
Support IBH department productivity oversight.
Assist with CQI initiatives, peer chart reviews, and clinical training planning.
Attend IBH leadership meetings as required.
Serve in leadership capacity in absence of Director of IBH.
Complete all charting as needed with 48 hrs.
Responsible for overseeing the charting and timely completion of department BHCs and Psych NPs.
Be immediately available to Health Center staff during working hours in the event of a psychiatric emergency.
Support clinical directors with crisis response policy and procedure development in addition to standards of care development and implementation.
Coordinate the care of patients with clinic staff which involves traveling throughout the FPCSN network.
Refer patients to higher levels of care or other services as needed.
Collaborate closely with Primary Care and Behavioral Health leadership.
Maintain current Pennsylvania license to practice.
Maintain competencies in mental health and substance abuse as required by licensing.
Provide at least once workshop or clinical case presentation per year to department clinical staff that will aid in the development of clinical practices.
Assist in the planning and coordination of department trainings and in-services.
