The Associate Director of Global Events and Communications creates and executes programming and communications strategy and content for the Center for Global Engagement and the Carole Weinstein International Center. This role works closely with the dean of global education and other faculty and staff members who engage globally on behalf of UR. The position is responsible for integrating international content across events and programs at the University-wide level through close collaboration with students, faculty, staff, special committees, and outreach to the greater Richmond community. Additionally, this role is responsible for the consistent creation, implementation, and execution of content as defined by the office and strategic plan. It also manages, designs, writes, and edits campus-wide and external communications to students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and international partners. The expanded range of global engagement for the UR campus is due to increased event programming sponsored by this position, for what is now a global and campus-wide International Education Week, events for international students, and other key events in the University calendar.
