The Associate Director reports to the Director of Student Finances for the MBA Program and is primarily responsible for coordinating with Student Financial Services, the Loan Office, Third-Party Billing, and the Registrar, with a focus on the financial experience of Wharton MBA and EMBA students.

Requirements

  • BA and 2 to 3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively counsel and support diverse student populations in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-7 years of experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing financial aid and enrollment-related data to support operational decision-making is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial aid and student information systems such as Banner and Slate strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide loan resources to students and monitors monthly reports related to loans, billing, programming, and student resources.
  • Analyze financial aid data and trends to support operational decision-making.
  • Provide strategic communication and resources to students based on feedback from the student population and changes in the lending landscape.
  • Leverage technology and AI-assisted tools to enhance communication efficiency and consistency.
  • Support overall financial aid counseling, including financial planning and loan eligibility.
  • Present to prospective and admitted students during the admissions cycle and Wharton Welcome Weekends.
  • Work as a part of a cross functional team in an innovative and data-driven environment.
