About The Position

The Associate Director of Enrollment is responsible for developing and executing communications and yield & melt prevention plans targeted at meeting the enrollment goals for the College, in accordance with the Admissions Office and overall College strategic planning processes. The Associate Director is responsible for direct supervision and leadership of a team of Enrollment Counselors who are focused on supporting prospective students from acceptance through matriculation. This person will also assist the Executive Director with strategic planning initiatives, admissions reporting, and the overall development and execution of admission services for prospective students and supporters. This position also manages an international student caseload. Must be flexible concerning working hours as the position requires out-of-town trips, late night work, occasional overnight trips, and weekends/evenings. Passport for international travel required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree. Required
  • Three (3) years’ experience in college admissions or enrollment Management. Required
  • Strong supervisory/administrative experience. Required
  • Ability to motivate staff in a changing environment. Required
  • Analytical abilities sufficient to handle administrative details. Required
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and with minimal supervision. Required
  • Ability to plan and organize many activities of varying complexity. Required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Required
  • Ability to make decisions and exercise independent judgment in a time-sensitive environment. Required
  • Solid technical skills including Microsoft Office. Required
  • Knowledge of/experience with data processing and automated records maintenance systems. Required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines. Required
  • Evidence of a strong customer-service orientation. Required
  • Ability to conduct admissions activities with the highest level of integrity. Required
  • Possession of valid driver’s license. Required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide leadership to a team of Enrollment Counselors who are responsible for supporting prospective students from acceptance through matriculation. Includes hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of best practices in admissions and enrollment management standards to participate in the strategic planning for Admissions.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement a robust yield & melt prevention strategy designed to achieve enrollment goals and aligned with the College’s Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Recruitment to ensure a seamless admissions experience from recruitment through matriculation.
  • Assist in the development of Admissions-related marketing and recruitment materials by providing strategic direction and additional insights from enrollment expertise.
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze reports to assist in the development of yield & melt prevention plans.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and interpret application and enrollment reports for distribution to key stakeholders. Assist with data analysis to guide strategic planning and actionable decision-making.
  • Oversee communication and outreach plans utilized by Enrollment Counselors.
  • Manage a caseload of international students. Includes reviewing applications and making recommendations for admission, assisting students in understanding international admission requirements, and issuing initial I-20s as a Designated School Official (DSO).
  • Manage the institution’s contracts related to international student recruitment.
  • Collaborate with offices involved in the enrollment process to coordinate communications, streamline processes, and remove barriers for students.
  • Manage Admissions responsibilities related to the selection processes for Nursing and Health Science majors.
  • Monitor Health Sciences’ selection processes to ensure compliance with established standards and make recommendations to Academic School as deemed appropriate.
  • Oversee the management of the Career & Technical Education Student Scholarship review and selection process.
  • Assist in the development of on-campus recruitment events by providing strategic direction and additional insights from enrollment expertise.
  • Participate in all aspects of the College’s on-campus recruitment program, including but not limited to general campus tours, open houses, accepted student days, group tours, and special events.
  • As needed, coordinate and conduct personal tours for prospective students and parents/supporters.
  • Make recommendations to the Executive Director for development of new and revision of current College policies and procedures related to Admissions when appropriate.
  • Assist the Executive Director with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and professional regulations and guidelines related to admissions standards and practices.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive perspective with regard to all College operations and services to consider how they impact admissions-related processes and procedures; make recommendations to the Executive Director on the development of college operations and services to best meet the needs of students and the College.
  • Serve as a power user of the office’s CRM system, Slate, with a particular focus on application and enrollment processes.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the College’s matriculation process beyond Admissions, to include, financial aid, placement testing, new student advising, course scheduling, bill paying, orientation, residence life, move in, first-year programs, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the College’s academic programs, academic requirements, academic policies and procedures, academic calendar, academic support services, curricular opportunities, career services, etc.
  • Represent the College with stakeholder groups in the community as requested by the Executive Director.
  • Serve on various College committees as deemed appropriate.
