The Associate Director of Development supports the implementation of fundraising strategies to increase private philanthropic support for MUSC. This role contributes to advancing the mission of MUSC and supports philanthropic priorities of the MUSC Enterprise and the MUSC Foundation with a focus on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts that support key institutional initiatives. As a member of the MUSC Foundation team, the Associate Director of Development collaborates with faculty, administrators, and enterprise leadership. This individual is responsible for managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, supporting the development and execution of donor engagement strategies and fostering long-term philanthropic relationships. In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, the Associate Director of Development helps carry out fundraising initiatives that align priorities with the broader goals of the MUSC Enterprise and MUSC Foundation. These priorities may include capital projects, endowed chairs and professorships, programmatic endowments, faculty development, outreach initiatives, and unrestricted needs. Performance will be evaluated annually based on the achievement of established goals and objectives related to fundraising activity, donor engagement, and support of team priorities.
