About The Position

MUFG Investor Services is seeking an Associate Director, Nexus, Regulatory Reporting to oversee and liaise with investment managers and vendors for day-to-day operational assistance and issues. This role will participate in and oversee various system improvement initiatives, and coordinate and review all client regulatory reporting deliverables and associated reports. The Associate Director will work with internal teams such as Client Operations, Investor Operations, Client Integration, Legal, Vendor Management, Outsourcing and BPO to ensure all internal and external deliverables are met. The position will also assist in developing and improving regulatory reporting processes and procedures, and assist with department resource planning and staff allocation. Attending pitches to potential new clients, due diligence meetings, board/client meetings as required is also part of the role. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors is key. The role involves continuing to carry out the core roles of the team, including the creation and preparation of regulatory reporting workings/reports when required, and developing an understanding of the regulatory reporting environment to assist in the creation of service offerings for clients. Ensuring all fees are billed and collected on time, and that all processes are performed in accordance with operational procedures and controls, with all relevant checklists completed, are critical. The Associate Director must stay up-to-date with applicable regulatory reporting requirements, manage the staff that report directly to them, assist in training team members, and participate in their performance review process. Monitoring and managing reporting deadlines for services/clients is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a concentration in finance, accounting, mathematics or related fields.
  • 3-7 years’ experience in a regulatory reporting role.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional qualification in ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or CFA desirable.
