About The Position

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for an Associate Director of R&D Neuroscience Precision Measures Strategy Integration Leader to be located in Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, Spring House, PA, Cambridge, MA, or La Jolla, CA. Our Neuroscience team tackles the world’s toughest brain health challenges including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism. To deliver Precision Medicines for Neuroscience requires building a data-driven strategy that integrates the deep expertise held collectively across multiple teams: regulatory, clinical development, discovery, biomarkers, statistics, data science, modeling and simulation. This outstanding leader will be a member of Neuroscience Precision Measures team, implementing large-scale programs that integrate diverse colleagues and capabilities scale strategic frameworks and drive programs delivering our precision neuroscience strategy. This role requires meaningful experience in pharmaceutical drug development and knowledge of how data science integrates along the pharmaceutical pipeline to drive value.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Quantitative background (e.g., data science, engineering, physical sciences, MBA) demonstrating ability to translate data and analytics into business impact.
  • Proven experience leading execution of complex, cross‑functional initiatives, delivering measurable outcomes in data‑ or science‑enabled environments.
  • Experience working with biomarkers, data science, digital technologies, and/or Neuroscience programs.
  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect big‑picture strategy to detailed execution.
  • Results‑driven, accountable, and comfortable operating with high autonomy in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent communication and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, decision‑ready outputs.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence in a global matrix, working effectively across functions and levels without formal authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Biomarkers, Translational Science, Digital Health, or Data Science.
  • Familiarity with clinical development and discovery‑to‑development interfaces.
  • Experience in strategic management and hands on strategy implementation in matrix organizations

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution and integration of strategy within the extended, cross‑functional Neuroscience team, helping translate strategic priorities into scalable frameworks, processes, and delivery plans.
  • Partner closely with the Strategy Implementation Lead to enable consistent prioritization, coordination, and communication of impact across programs.
  • Contribute to the integration and execution of strategy for key cross‑functional initiatives spanning the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area and functional partners, with a focus on Neuropsychiatry.
  • Develop and execute Measurement Development Plans (MDPs) for future Neuropsychiatry programs.
  • Ensure alignment between program‑level and disease‑level MDPs across Neuropsychiatry.
  • Partner with Neuropsychiatry discovery teams to integrate measurement strategy and decision support into early programs.
  • Lead focused sprints and modeling efforts to support key decision points, ensuring streamlining and acceleration of analysis efforts.
  • Drive cross‑functional coordination across Precision Measures, Data Science, and functional partners to support execution and integration.
  • Enable scale and adoption of frameworks, processes, and ways of working across ongoing programs.
