The Associate Director, Medical Operations will be a key member of the Global Medical and Patient Affairs (MPA) team to support development of gene regulation therapies. This role will comprise responsibilities critical to internal and external stakeholder engagement and education, as well as operational excellence across the group. Specific responsibilities include: Operational Infrastructure & Financial Stewardship Budget Management: Manage the Medical Affairs budget process, including tracking, quarterly re-allocation, and accruals, including vendor contract negotiations and ensuring resources are used wisely. Systems & CRM: Oversee the implementation and daily management of CRM (customer relationship management) technology to track external stakeholder engagement. Process Development: Establish and refine scalable processes, workflows, and SOPs that create order within a dynamic, rapidly growing company. Grants & Sponsorships: Manage the intake and processing of sponsorships and grants, ensuring all data capture requirements are met for reporting purposes. Cross-functional Liaison: Be the point-of-contact with internal (MPA, Legal, Finance) and externalstakeholders to ensure timely implementation of contracts, progress reports, and payments. Stakeholder Engagement & Educational Execution Congress Planning: Lead the development of integrated conference plans to ensure the seamless collection and sharing of scientific insights. Event Execution: Organize and execute external stakeholder meetings, including advisory boards, focus groups, and satellite symposia to share information on Encoded’s programs. Education Programs: Collaborate to plan and execute patient and medical education programs that address prioritized gaps in gene therapy, disease state, and diagnosis. Represent Encoded at key externally facing meetings, as needed. Content Creation: Develop internal and external materials (brochures, educational animations, booth panels) that differentiate Encoded’s approach and provide critical disease state education to the patient community, while liaising with external vendors to manage timelines and ensure deliverable accuracy Cross-Functional Project Management Project Leadership: Oversee project management for Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy activities to ensure integration across functions and strict adherence to timelines. Compliance: Ensure that all interactions, materials, and activities adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance
